WebsiteCreator is a simple-to-use content management tool which offers
many template choices and a short, step-by-step design process. Best of
all, no HTML skills are required to build and maintain a professional
looking website.
Here
are the general steps to build and publish your website:
I.
ACCESS THE WEBSITECREATOR:
- Start
by logging to your Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net
using your Registration number and Customer
password.
- Select
Web Hosting from the top navigation bar.
- Next,
select Hosted Domains and click on Manage
Hosted Domains.
- Select
the hosted domain name that you’d like to manage.
- Click
the Design tab.
- Now,
click the WSC Website Builder icon.
Important:
You will have to activate your Free WebsiteCreator plan
if not activated yet. Please allow up to 60 minutes for the activation
process. Return to the WSC Website Builder tool once your new plan is
activated.
- Click
on the administer link associated with your
current WebsiteCreator service plan. You will be automatically logged
into your WebsiteCreator.
II.
BUILD AND DESIGN YOUR WEBSITE
- Click
on Create / Edit site button to create new
website. Follow the OK link in the confirmation
java applet window. You will be redirected to the Category Selection
phase.
- Choose
a design template category for
your website from the available list. You will be redirected to the
Design Template selection phase.
- Select
the exact design template, its color
scheme and main graphic. Click the next
button located at the top left corner.
- Select
your Text Color, Button and Font style,
upload custom company logo, and define
your company name. Click
the next button located at the top left corner.
- Arrange
your main navigation bar using a “2-level”
navigation bar. You can use the suggested pages from the 2nd
and 3rd columns or create your own using the New
Menu Item link located on the left panel. The current
selection is manageable through the first column. Click the next
button located at the top left corner when ready.
- Your
website will be loaded into the WebsiteCreator Content Editor. You can
switch between Preview and Edit
mode using the F8 and F9 Keys. In the Edit Mode you can make changes to
the content of the loaded page or load another page from your
navigation bar. Click the next button located at
the top left corner when ready.
- Add
dynamic modules to your site. You can add HTML-Title, Flash-Intro,
Counter, Blog, Photo Album, etc. Click
the next button located at the top left corner when
ready.
III.
PUBLISH YOUR WEBSITE:
- Simply
click the Publish button to have your designed
website uploaded to your Aplus.Net Hosting Server.
