This Knowledge
base offers two major tools allowing third parties to contribute to
it and to use it as well.
- Publishing Tool
The Publishing Tool is a tool for publishing documents
to the Knowledge Base from MS Word. Just write your article, document
or application note in MS Word and publish it with a push of a button.
You need to apply and to be approved by KB administrators in order
to become contributing editor. Materials are subject to approval
before being published. Application is easy online and KB administrators
commit to approve it within 3 business days.
- Querying Tool
The Querying Tool comes in two formats, and both
are in the form of HTML code. The HTML code will not tell you much
by itself when looking at it. However, when you copy and paste it
in any web site, and the result is amazing!
You’ll see a clean, rectangular window for entering text. Ask a question
in this window, and the answers will pop up directly from the Knowledge
Base. The first tool will provide “Ask a question” function,
supporting questions asked in natural language. The second tool will
provide “Search” capability, similar to the search engines
search by keyword(s).
