With
Aplus.Net, you have two options for hosting your DNS
(Domain Name
Servers). Option one is to
have Aplus.Net host the DNS for you. The
second option is to host the DNS yourself on your dedicated server.
Information
on how to configure the physical hosting of your domain names inside
the Plesk Control Panel is available here:
I.
Using Aplus.Net's DNS Servers:
With
every dedicated server, you as a new dedicated server customer are
offered one complimentary DNS Service plan, so that you can quickly get
your project off the ground. Here is how you can activate your free DNS
Service plan:
- Start
by logging into the Aplus.Net Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net
using your Registration Number and Customer
Password.
- Click
on Dedicated Servers
from the top navigation bar. Now,
click on the Dedicated Server you'd like to manage.
- Click
on the Manage Custom DNS Records icon.
- You
will be prompted to activate this feature. Click Yes.
- Enter
the domain name you’d like to manage DNS records for and
click Create.
In
addition, you may request to sign up for additional DNS
Service plans for other domains you may host on your
dedicated server. Each additional domain will cost $5.95/year to host
in our DNS servers. Here is how you can purchase and access additional
DNS Service plans:
- Start
by logging into the Aplus.Net Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net
using your Registration Number and Customer
Password.
- In
the top navigation bar, go to Buy Services and
select Domain Names >> Custom DNS
Service.
- Select
the domain name to be associated with this DNS Service plan.
- Once
you complete your order, click on Domains from the
top navigation bar.
- Now,
click on the domain name you’d like to manage.
- Click
on the Manage Custom DNS Records icon.
Important:
Once you have signed up for your DNS Service plan, please point your
domain to our name servers: ns1.abac.com
(216.55.128.4) and ns2.abac.com (216.55.144.4).
