When I try to access my Aplus.Net File Manager, I get an error HTTP 404 - File not found. Why?

Answer by: Frédérique Taillefer, Aplus.Net Knowledge Base Support.

Aplus.Net’s File Manager tool can be accessed in your Control Panel using either your registered domain name, or the utility domain (username.web.aplus.net for UNIX-based shared hosting accounts, or username.win.aplus.net for Windows-based shared hosting accounts) which is automatically included with your Aplus.Net hosting plan.

If your registered domain has not completed its propagation yet, you will need to use the utility domain link in your Aplus.Net Control Panel to access the File Manager. Indeed, the utility domain set up by Aplus.Net is active from the time that your account is opened, regardless of the status of your actual domain.

Here’s how to access the File Manager using the Aplus.Net Control Panel:

  1. Start by logging into the Aplus.Net Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net using your Registration Number and Customer Password.
  2. Select Web Hosting from the top navigation bar.
  3. Next, select Hosted Domains and click on Manage Hosted Domains.
  4. Now, select a domain name (actual domain or utility domain).
  5. Finally, click the File Manager icon.
