Question categories:  Dedicated Servers

What is the username and password to access MySQL on my Unix dedicated server?

Answer by: Taylor Giddens, Aplus.Net Dedicated Server Support

The username for root access to MySQL is “admin”.  Please use the root password that was emailed to you upon the setup of your server for your MySQL password.

Note: MySQL is configured to only allow access from localhost. This means you can only access the server from a MySQL management interface such as PHPmyAdmin, the shell, or any scripts running from Apache.
