ICANN
(Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers – www.icann.org)
introduced a mandatory fee of $0.20 for each domain
registration per year. This fee is effective as of November 1st,
2004. It applies to new domain registrations, domain
renewals and domain transfers.
Examples:
- If your
domain registration period is one year and your domain registration
regular price with Aplus.Net is $7.95 per year, you will be charged:
$7.95 (one year Aplus.Net registration fee) + $0.20 (one year ICANN
fee).
- If your
domain registration period is five years and your domain registration
regular price is $7.95 per year, you will be charged: 5*$7.95 (five
year Aplus.Net registration fee) + 5*$0.20 (five year ICANN fee).
Note:
This additional ICANN fee applies to the following domain name
extensions - .com, .net, org, .biz, .info, and .name.
