*What
is TiVo:
TiVo
is a consumer video device which allows users to capture television
programming to internal disk storage. You can record your favorite
shows and TV programs with a Digital Video Recorder, which is similar
to the VCR, but actually records on a hard drive. With TiVo you can
make your own recording schedules and filters. The TiVo service also
allows you to control live TV programs. This means you can pause,
rewind, replay or watch TV in slow motions. Unlike tape-based recorders,
a program that is still being recorded can be viewed from the beginning.
A prospective TiVo user needs a Digital Video Recorder and
a TiVo Service Subscription.
