Smart
FTP Backup provides our Dedicated Server customers with an easy and
cost-effective way to manually backup data via FTP to a trusted
server. Please
note that this service is available to Aplus.Net Dedicated Server
customers only.
Here
are the main features and benefits:
- Data Security:
- SFTP (Secure
FTP protocol) is supported. SFTP uses SSL encryption to protect your
username, password, and file contents over the network.
- The Backup
Server is not available externally for security reasons. You can access
it from within your dedicated server only.
- FTP Space:
The initial plan starts with 10GB of disk space. You can increase this
space up to 50GB in 10GB increments.
- Easy to use:
You choose the files to backup on the server at a time convenient for
you.
An
FTP Username and Password is collected/generated during the
registration process. Use this login information to connect to our
Backup Server at ftp1.abac.com (216.55.191.9).

Here
is how you can manage your Smart FTP Backup service:
- Start by logging to the Aplus.Net Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net
using your Account Registration number and Customer password.
- Select the Dedicated Server
tab from the top navigation bar and click on Smart Services/Upgrades.
- Click on the Smart FTP Backup service associated with
the username you'd like to manage.
- Now, you have the following tools available:
- Change
Password - click on this icon to change your Smart FTP
Backup password.
- Disk
Usage - click on this icon to view your current
usage statistics.
- Add
FTP Space - click on this icon, if you wish to add more
space to your Smart FTP Backup service.
