The “Automatic
resize on upload” feature on your Web-a-Photo Client
Software allows you to automatically resize all the pictures
you are uploading to your Web-a-Photo album. This saves time and
space, so you will be able to fit more photos in your album. To take
advantage of this option, go to Settings and select Advanced
Settings. This window will come up where you can specify the
size of the uploaded photos.
For
example, if your digital camera makes 4 mega pixel photos, you can
resize this to a 0.8 mega pixel photo, which is all that is necessary
for you to enjoy it on a full-sized computer screen (typical setting).
Storing 4 mega pixels photos is not practical, and it will quickly
use up the space in your photo album. Furthermore, the upload will
be slow, especially on a dial-up connection. In a case like this,
it just makes sense to use the Automatic Resize on Upload feature.
You will still enjoy full screen pictures, and in case you want to
order prints, Web-a-Photo will use the 4 mega pixel picture for the
best possible prints and enlargements.
