How can I use the Aplus.Net Control Panel to add <meta> tag information to my site?

The Search Engine Optimization Tool automatically creates and inserts <meta> tags into your site’s pages in order to better position them for keyword searches in search engines. With this tool, you can optimize your web pages' title, description and keywords.

Here’s how to use the Search Engine Optimization Tool:

Start by logging into the Aplus.Net Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net using your Registration Number and Customer Password.
Select Web Hosting from the top navigation bar.
Next, select Hosted Domains and click on Manage Hosted Domains.
Now, select the hosted domain that you’d like to manage.
Click the Marketing tab.
Select the Search Engine Optimization icon.
You will be redirected to a new page showing your Website Structure on the left side. The Website Structure represents how search engine crawlers see your website. Your index file is expanded displaying its hyperlinks to other web pages. You can click on any of these web pages to expand its respective hyperlinks. The current page is opened for optimization in right side of the screen.

Enter your webpage title in the respective text field.

Note: The title of your page is displayed at the top of the web browser. It is very important because it is greatly favored by the search engines, so choosing its value properly is crucial for your SEO campaign.

Use the respective radio buttons to select the search engines you'd like to index your webpage.

Enter your webpage description in the respective text box.

Note: The page description allows you to supply a synopsis of your website. It can also be displayed in search engine results, so describe your page to a suitable detail.

Select appropriate keywords for your webpage content:

Note: Keywords are intended to emphazise on certain words or phrases existing in your webpage content. If you have here keywords for which users will search for, this enhances the possibility that your website will appear in search engine results.

Note: You will see useful SEO suggestions below each of the input text fields. Those in strong red are considered important, while those in orange are recommended.

Finally, click the Save All Changes button.

Note: The Save All Changes button will be visible only if you have loaded an html file. For all other file types (e.g. php or asp), there will be a Display Demo button. You can use this button to view the generated html code with the recommended meta tag information. This code you can import manually to your web pages.

Important: Please have in mind that this tool cannot be used together with the WebsiteCreator or Trellix Builder. The reason is that the next time you publish your website, the added meta tag changes will be overwritten. The suggested meta tag information can be added only through the respective site builders. Unfortunately, with WebsiteCreator you can add only the title of a page.
