What are the minimum system requirements to operate “Push to Talk”?

Here are the minimum system requirements your customers will need to operate “Push to Talk” successfully:

For Phone to Phone

  • An open phone line is required. Push to Talk is compatible with all PC and Macintosh browsers, and support is provided in several major languages.  Push to Talk works with all email clients that accept HTML.

For PC to Phone

  • Operating Systems Requirements: Windows 95, 98, 2000, ME, NT, XP
  • Sound card (with Win32 API compliant drivers)
  •  Microphone
  • Speakers
  • Available Memory: 32MB RAM and HD with 100K space available
  • Processor Speed: 100 MHz or faster
  • Processors Supported: AMD K5, K6, Intel Pentium, Pentium II, Pentium III, Pentium IV, Celeron
  • Connection Speed: 28.8 Kbs Internet connection or faster
  • Internet Utility Software: Either Active X or Java
  • Browsers Supported: Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.7, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0; Netscape Communicator 6.40 and above; AOL 4.0, 5.0, 6.0, 7.0
  • Firewall Configuration: If a firewall is present, the Push to Talk service is configured to allow HTTPS (Port 443) to pass through without a proxy. UDP will be used if the firewall allows UDP traffic.
