If
you try to delete an email message using the webmail software, it tries
to save the message in the Trash folder before it
is physically deleted from the Inbox or Sent
folders. If
you have consumed all your allotted FTP space, then the webmail
won’t let you delete any messages. You will have to disable
the Trash folder, so that the webmail deletes the messages without
saving in the Trash.
Note: This article is
applicable to the Squirrel Mail client only.
Here’s
how:
- Go
to the following URL: http://mail.yourdomainname.com
to access your web-based email client.
Important:
Replace yourdomainname.com with the actual name of
your registered and hosted domain name
- Login
using your entire email box as a username and its
associated password.
- Select
Options from the top navigation bar.
- Click
on the Folder Preferences link.
- Open
the Trash Folder drop-down menu and select the [Do
not use Trash] option of the webmail software.
- Click
the Submit button to apply the change.
- You
can now go back to your email folders and delete all email messages
that you don’t need.
