Question categories:  Domain Registration

My domain is coming up for renewal, and I would like to change the registration period. how do I do that?

Answer by: George Kaloyanov, Aplus.Net Knowledge Base Support

You can use the Web Control Panel in order to extend the registration period of your domain name.

Important: All renewals made through the AutoRenew option are refundable during a 3 day grace period. All renewals made with the force renew option (Extend Registration Period tool or Renew Domains tool) through the Control Panels are final and not refundable.

I. If you have an Aplus.Net account (Starting with AP) associated with your domain name registration and your domain is still active, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Start by logging into the Aplus.Net Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net using your registration number and customer password.
  2. Select Domains from the top navigation bar.
  3. Click on the name of the domain you’d like to manage.
  4. Click the Renew Now button.
  5. Use the Renewal Period drop down menu to select the number of years you wish to add to your domain name registration.
  6. Finally, click the Renew Now button.

Note: You can add up to 10 years to your domain name registration.

II. If you have a Names4Ever.Com account (consist of numbers only) associated with your domain name registration and your domain is still active, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Start by logging into the Names4ever web control panel at http://cp.names4ever.com using your Registration Number and Customer Password.
  2. Select the Domain Management icon. You will be redirected to a summary table that contains all your registered domain names.
  3. Select the domain name(s) that you’d like to renew.
  4. Click the Renew Domains button.
  5. Review the selection, choose the number of years you’d like to add, and click Proceed.

Important: Specific domain name TLDs require a minimal registration period of 2 years. Please note that if you select a renewal period of 1 year, those specific domains will be renewed for 2 years

  1. You can choose to pay the renewal fees with your existing credit card on file (if available), to use new credit card information, or to pay by check. Select one of the three options and click Renew.
