I want to host my domains at home. do I need to run DNS at home or will you resolve the names to my IP address?

If you want to use Aplus.Net’s name servers to resolve your domain name to your IP address at home, you will have to open a DNS service ($5.95 per year). Please, contact our Technical support team by phone at +1 858 410 6900 (toll free), +1 888 301 2516 for international callers or by email at . Please, include your registration number, customer password and the IP address that you want to point your domain name to.

Another option is to run your own DNS servers to resolve your domain name. In that case you will have to register these DNS servers with the registrar of your domain name. (Example: If you want to register ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com, you will have to contact the registrar company for yourdomain.com to have these DNS servers registered and pointed to a specific IP address). If the registrar for you domain name is Aplus.Net/ Names4ever.Com, please request these name servers registration by email at . Include your registration number, customer password, and the host names of your DNS servers as well as the IP addresses.

Note: If you choose to run your own DNS server it will be up to you to install the software and manage those servers.
