If
you have uploaded your pictures, but they do not appear on your website,
you will need to check that the picture is being referenced correctly
from your website. If it is not referenced correctly, you will see
a red “X” instead
of your actual pictures. Here’s how you can check:
- Right-click on the missing
picture, then select Properties from the menu.
- Check what is listed
as the Address (URL) for that picture. Example: http://www.domainname.com/images/image.jpg
- Now go to the File
Manager in your control panel by logging in to http://cp.aplus.net using your registration
number and password.
- Look for the image file,
and check for the following:
- Is the name of the
image file identical to the name that appears in the image Properties window? Note: File names are case sensitive, therefore if you have named
your image file “IMAGE.JPG”, it will not be found
if the URL reads “image.jpg”.
To make changes to file names, you can simply click on the Rename icon
in the File Manager, and rename the file to match the name that appears
in the URL.
- Is the image file located
in the correct directory?
If the file is not located in the correct directory, you can simply
move the file by clicking on the Move icon in the File Manager, and then select the directory you wish to
move your file to.
