i have already installed the mediawiki software. how can i create a website using mediawiki?

Once you install the MediaWiki software, the Main Page of your MediaWiki based website will be automatically created. You have to access this page to manage your MediaWiki Website. Your Main Page is located at:

• http://yourdomain.com/mwiki/ - Please replace yourdomain.com with your actual hosted domain name.

You can also create hyperlinks inside other websites that point to your MediaWiki website.

Sample HTML Code: <a href=”http://yourdomain.com/mwiki/”>Visit my Wiki Site></a>

The following page contains direct links to different administrative pages:

• http://yourdomain.com/mwiki/index.php?title=Special:Specialpages

How to edit the contents of the Main Page:

1. Go to: http://yourdomain.com/mwiki/
2. Click the Create an account or login button located at the top right corner of the Main Page.
3.  Enter your MediaWiki Administrator’s username and password in the respective fields and click the Log in button.
4. Click the edit button from the top navigation bar. You will see the contents of the existing page in editing mode.
5. Edit the contents of your page and click the Save Page button when ready.
