The Smart
Monitor is a service that can be used by Aplus.Net’s
dedicated server customers to monitor their own server. The service
allows the user to modify email alert notifications in case of specific
service failure. Furthermore, it provides easy to use web interface for
server monitoring and statistical data.
Note: Your
Smart Monitor service will be activated by our Dedicated Servers
engineers within the next business day after subscription. You will
receive an email notification once your Smart Monitor is activated.
The Smart
Monitor can be used for monitoring the following services:
- Basic plan: SMTP, HTTP, ICMP, FTP,
SSH, SSL
- Advanced plan: CPU Utilization,
Disk I/O, Memory Utilization, Process Count, SQL Transactions, Disk
space availability
How to use
the Smart Monitor service once it is activated:
- Open: https://216.55.169.170/zabbix/
with your web browser.
- Login using your Account
Registration Number and your Smart Monitor password. Both are disclosed
to you in the confirmation email sent from dedicatedsupport@aplus.net.
- Now, select the Screens tab
from the top navigation bar.
- Under Screens,
click on the name of the server you’d like to manage. The
format is RegNumber.ServerNumber
- You will be presented with all the
statistical data for the respective monitored services.
Important:
If you’d like to setup separate user accounts with different
permissions for your Smart Monitor service, please your request to
dedicatedsupport@aplus.net.
Include the following information:
- Your account registration number
and dedicated server number
- The list of emails and password
choices for the users who should have access to your Smart Monitor web
interface.
- A list of monitored services to be
available for each user.
