MySQL
Database support is included with the following Aplus.Net UNIX-based
shared hosting plans:
- Personal Unix - 1 MySQL Database
- Business
Class Unix
– 3 MySQL Databases
- Pro
Unix
– 5 MySQL Databases
- eCommerce
Unix
– 10 MySQL Databases
Important:
With Aplus.Net, you can have an FTP username of up to 16 characters. If
your Main FTP Username contains more than 14
characters (For example: 15 or 16 characters long), all your MySQL
Databases will share a single MySQL Username and Password. When
creating additional databases, if you provide a new password (different
from your current database password), the new password will be set as
your MySQL Database password for all databases. These rules apply only
to hosting plans with 15 or 16 characters long Main
FTP Username.
Here
is how to create an additional MySQL Database using the Aplus.Net
Control Panel:
- Start
by logging into the Aplus.Net Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net
using your Registration Number and Customer Password.
- Select
Web Hosting from the top navigation bar.
- Next,
select Hosted Domains and click on Manage
Hosted Domains.
- Now,
select the hosted domain that you’d like to manage.
- Click the MySQL
Database Manager icon.
- Click the Create
New Database button.
- Enter the
MySQL Database password for the new database and click Create.
Important:
The Database Name and Database Username will be automatically
generated.
- You will be
redirected to a confirmation screen which contains your new Database
Name and Database Username.
