Question categories:  Domain Registration

How to enable / disable the auto renew option for my domain names?

Answer by: George Kaloyanov, Aplus.Net Knowledge Base Support

With Aplus.Net / Names4ever.Com you have two options of renewing your domain name. You can have your domain name automatically renewed on the day of expiration or you can renew your domain name manually when it is up for renewal.

Important: All renewals made through the AutoRenew option are refundable during a 3 day grace period. All renewals made with the force renew option (“Renew Now” tool in Aplus.Net Control Panel or “Renew Domains” tool in Names4Ever.Com Control Panel) are final and not refundable.

Here’s how to enable/disable the Auto Renew option for your domain name:

If you have an Aplus.Net Account (Starts with AP) associated with your domain name registration please follow the instructions below:

  1. Start by logging to the Aplus.Net Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net. Use your Registration Number and Customer Password.
  2. Select Domains from the top navigation bar, then click on Domain Registrations .
  3. On the Domain Registrations page, click the name of the domain you’d like to manage.
  1. Click the Change Auto Renew Icon in the main screen.
  2. From the AutoRenew drop down menu choose Yes, if you want to have your domain automatically renewed and click Modify. If you do not want to have your domain automatically renewed on the day of expiration, choose No from the AutoRenew drop down menu and click Modify.

If you have a Name4ever.Com Account (Consists of numbers only) associated with your domain name registration please follow the instructions below:

  1. Start by logging into the Names4ever web control panel at http://cp.names4ever.com using your Registration Number and Customer Password.
  2. Select the Domain Management icon. You will be redirected to a page that contains all your registered domain names.
  3. Check the domain name(s) that you’d like to update the Auto-Renew option for.
  4. Click the Auto-Renew button.
  5. Review your selection and click Proceed.
  6. If you want to have your domains automatically renewed on the day of expiration, select the Enable Auto-Renew option and click Modify. If you do not want your domains to be automatically renewed, select the Disable Auto-Renew option and click Modify.
  7. You will be redirected to a confirmation page that contains the number of updated domain names.
