How to ask a private question?

You need to make sure you ask your private question in 160 characters or less (anything over should be sent to ). Your question, if approved by Aplus.Net, will be seen by many others. Therefore it should be short, sharp and straight to the point.

The Aplus.Net Knowledge Base is not the right place for your question if:

  • You have a long question to ask with a lot of details and circumstances.
  • You want to post a complaint or appreciation of our services.
  • You want to make a proposal for service improvement.

Remember that you still have the options to use , and to make your points and to be heard.

Below are examples of long questions and how some of them can be improved to fit the 160 character limitation:

Example 1 (Too circumstantial):
I have two sites hosted by Aplus.Net and I was wondering how to access the web panel for them? When we got the account a year ago the web panel was not included, it is more recent, but we pay the same as an account that has these options. Do we have them?


Example 1 (Improved):
Do older web hosting plans have the web panel option?

Example 2 (Vague, unclear, long):
How do you add information so that more words trigger your site to be recognized by specific key words? The site in question does not come up near the top of the list of hits even if many of the words are included.


Example 2 (Improved):
How to best position my web site in the search engines?

Example 3 (Two questions, need split):
I use Perl a lot in my website. Is it possible for Aplus.net to install more modules so that I don't have to write everything from scratch? Also there's stuff like png generation which is currently not supported.


Example 3 (Improved):
1. Is Aplus.Net planning on installing more Perl modules for use by customers?
2. Is Aplus.Net planning on supporting png generation?

Example 4 (No letters, no discussions, no follow ups. This is not a discussion board. If you did notify support, you should keep working with them by e-mail):
Dear Sir: I uploaded "SnapShotFree.class" into the html folder. This is an applet. Although this worked properly in the tests. The applet will not work in your server. I called your support for help and customer support told me that I should not

Example 5 (Customer complaint. Here is not the place. Email if Support is not responsive):
Not getting any responses from . Over the past couple of weeks I've sent at least 3 emails to and have not gotten one reply (or even an acknowledgement) to my emails/support issues. This is not encouraging at all.

Example 6 (Contains proposals for improving the service, here is not the place. Use ):
