What is the maximum size of a mail group?

Answer by Frederique Taillefer, Aplus.Net Knowledge Base Support.

The size of the email group is based not on a number of email addresses, but on a number of characters.

Here is how it works:

When you create an email group, all the email contacts that you add to the group are saved, separated by a comma, in a text file on the server. The maximum size of this text file is 255 characters.

Keep in mind that characters are all alphanumeric characters, including the @ sign, and the commas that separate all the email contacts you have added to your group.

This number of characters is generally equivalent to 20-25 email contacts in the group; however it depends on the length of the email contacts that you are adding to your email group.
