How long should it take for my issue to be resolved?

Here are general resolution time estimates, for some of our more common support issues. Keep in mind these estimates are from the time the issue is resolved by a technician.

24 hours*

DNS entries and changes, including name servers

24 - 48 hours*

Changes to Whois info

24 hours*

Domain name transfers

5 - 7 days

Reset/creation of dialup account

20 minutes

Reset/creation of e-mail account

Immediate

URL forwarding

Immediate (If domain name is resolving correctly in DNS. See exceptions below.)

URL forwarding with www or to an IP address

24 - 48 hours (These are done through the DNS)

Server4me or Co-located server reboot

10 - 15 minutes

Uploaded website showing up in browser

Immediate, if domain name is resolving properly

Resolution of tickets escalated to UNIX or NT admins

24 hours, Mon - Fri only

Processing of cancellation requests or refunds

7 - 10 business days

 

* Except for .biz and .us, which have to be registered manually
