The
Keyword Density is an important factor that determines the search
engine rankings of your website in regards to a specific keyword. Your
keyword density should not be too low or too high. If it is too low,
the search engines will not consider your website as relevant for that
specific keyword. If it is too high, your website might be penalized by
the search engines for "keyword stuffing". There is a wide
discussion among the webmasters and search engine optimization
specialists on what is the recommended density for a keyword or phrase
so that it really benefits your Search Engine Rankings. There is no
definitive answer, however we would recommend a good range of no lower
than 3% and no higher than 7%.
With
the Keyword Density Analyzer tool you can:
- Check the density of Keywords, 2 Word Phrases and 3 Word Phrases
within the text content of your html webpages. The tool will show the
number of times
a given keyword is found within the content of your webpage along with
the respective precentage.
- Change the Search
Filter by specifying which words should be omitted by the
report.
- Browse your website's html pages starting from the
homepage.
Here
is how to use the tool:
- Start
by logging into the Aplus.Net Web Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net
using your Registration Number and Customer
Password.
- Select
Web Hosting from the top navigation menu.
- Next,
select Hosted Domains and click on Manage
Hosted Domains.
- On
the Web Sites Management page, select the domain
that you’d like to manage.
- Click
on the Marketing tab.
- Select
the Keyword Density Analyzer icon. Note: You will
see your website's
structure in the left panel and the Keyword Density
report of your index page in the right panel. The tool will use the
default filter settings for the initial report.
- Select
the exact page which you'd like to analyze from the Website Structure
panel.

- In
the Keyword Density panel, click on change
settings to configure your Search Filter:
- Ignore short
words.
- Ignore
words which does not have certain number of occurences.
- Language
and document encoding.
- Choose
if you want to use our default list of stop words (words which should
not be counted).
- Add
words as stop words or exclude stop words from our default list.
- Click
Done
when ready.
- The
Keyword Density report panel will refresh with the new results based on
the updated filter.
