Google
AdSense is an advertising program that allows you to promote your
website via Google's search ads. Google's text-based ads are proven to
be one of the most effective forms of advertising. Google
AdSense allows you to display relevant Google ads on your website and
earn money. An active Google AdSense Account is required to use this
tool. You will have to provide your Google AdSense Key for
Content. Detailed information on Google AdSense is available
at its official website: https://www.google.com/adsense/.
Here
is how you can access the Aplus.Net Google AdSense tool:
- Start
by logging into the Aplus.Net Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net
using your Registration Number and Customer Password.
- Select
Web Hosting from the top navigation bar.
- Next,
select Hosted Domains and click on Manage
Hosted Domains.
- Now,
select the hosted domain that you’d like to manage.
- Next,
click on the Marketing tab.
- Click
on the Google AdSense icon.
If
you do not have a Google AdSense Account yet,
please click on the Create Google AdSense link. On
the application form, make sure that you select the product AdSense
for Content.
Once
you have obtained your Google
AdSense Key for Content,
you can proceed with the Google AdSense Setup:
- Enter
your Google AdSense Key for Content in the Type New Key text
field.
- Select
the AdSense Type using the respective drop-down
menu. You have the following two options available:
- Ad
unit
contain
either text ads, image ads, or both. The ads are targeted to the
content of your page using contextual and site targeting.
- Link
unit is a form of
text advertising that Google offers to the AdSense publishers. Using
the same contextual targeting algorithm that targets Google ads to your
content pages, link units display a list of topics that are relevant to
your page. Each topic, when clicked, brings the user to a page of
related advertisements.
- Now,
select the Google AdSense Format using the
respective drop-down menu.
- Choose
a Google AdSense Theme and define your preferred Color
Settings.
- Next,
select Alternate Ads. Alternate
ads allow you to
utilize your ad space in the event that Google is unable to serve
targeted ads to your page. By default, Google shows Public
Service Ads (PSAs), if no targeted ads are available.
However, you can also specify an Ad URL of your
choice and make sure that your advertising space is always being used
effectively.
- Finally,
you have to import the already generated (in the Control Panel
back-end) Google AdSense Code into your web pages. You have two options:
- To
import the code into a single web page. The
selected HTML web page will be opened in edit mode. The Google AdSense
preview might not show the actual size of the ads section. Use the HTML
Editor Preview mode to see the exact ad unit size.
- To
import the code into multiple web pages. Use the respective drop-down
menu to define the position of the ads on your web pages.
