- Initially, you will need
to setup a new connection so that, in the future, a simple double
click on the connection button will immediately access your account.
To do this, open the “File” menu. Then select “Connect” and
click on “Site Manager…”.
- Click on “Create
Site…”. Now you’ll have to enter your FTP login information
to define your connection to the Aplus.Net shared hosting server.
Enter an appropriate title for your connection using the “Site
Name” text field. Click “Next”
- Type your domain name
in the “Server Address” text field. Click “Next”.
Note: If your domain name does not yet resolve to Aplus.Net’s
shared hosting server, you have to use your “utility domain
name”.
- Enter your FTP username
and password in the respective fields. Click “Next”.
- Select “FTP” from
the “Connection Type” drop-down menu. Click “Next”.
- Finally you will see
a confirmation screen with all settings that you entered. Make
sure that the “Connect to this site” checkbox is not
checked and click “Finish” to have this new site defined
and saved in your Site Manager.
- You will be redirected
to your “Site Manager”. Select the “ftp site” that
you just created and click on “Connect”. Your WS_FTP
client will try to connect to your FTP space.
- Upon successful connection,
you should see your local folders in the left panel (labeled as
My Computer) and your remote folders in the right panel (labeled
with the name of your defined FTP connection). You can now start
using the powerful interface of WS_FTP to upload / download your
files to / from the server:
