You
can use the MS Publisher to upload your website files to the Aplus.Net
servers without any additional software required.
These
instructions assume your website files are already created and saved
as .htm or .html.
Important:
The default extension that MS Publisher works with is .pub. Make
sure you save your website files as .htm or .html and not .pub.
Here’s
how to publish with MS Publisher 2003.
- Launch MS Publisher.
- Open your saved html
file.
- Select the File menu.
- Click Publish to Web.
- In the Save in dialog
box choose FTP Locations.
Note: If you have created your FTP location before, you can skip
steps 6-10.
- Next, select Add/Modify
FTP location.
- Enter your domain name
into the Name of FTP site field.
- Choose User as
a login method.
- Enter your FTP username and FTP
password with Aplus.Net in the respective fields.
- Click the Add button
to save your new location. Click the OK button.
- Now, select your FTP
location from the list and click Open.
- Once connected to the
server, you should see all your online folders.
- Select the html folder
if you have Unix-based hosting plan. If you have Windows-based
hosting plan select the wwwroot folder.
- Finally click the Save button
to have your html page uploaded to the server.
Note:
Your best option remains to use regular FTP client software to upload
the files created with MS Publisher.
