BLOG,
or web-LOG, is basically a journal that is
available on the Web. With Aplus.Net Advanced Blog you can easily
publish your daily thoughts and favorite quotes and share them with
your Web site’s visitors. Through the multi-user feature that
the Advanced Blog offers visitors can also publish on the Web having
different access levels.
Here’s
how to set up the Advanced Blog on your website:
- Start
by logging into the Aplus.Net Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net
using your Registration Number and Customer Password.
- Select
Web Hosting from the top navigation bar.
- Next,
select Hosted Domains and click on Manage
Hosted Domains.
- Now,
select the hosted domain that you’d like to manage.
- Click
on the Design tab.
- Click
the Advanced Blog icon.
- Enter
your administrator’s password in the respective text field.
- Re-enter
the same password for confirmation.
- Type
a valid email address. This is your administrator email address where
you will receive notifications about new entries and comments, made by
other users.
- This
tool uses a MySQL database. Please choose a database from your existing
ones using the respective drop-down menu.
Note:
The tool will suggest the optimal database but you have the full
control to select which one should be used for the installation.
- Choose
the Install location of your Advanced Blog using
the respective radio buttons. You have two options here:
- To
install the Advanced Blog in your main /html
directory. The Advanced Blog Homepage URL would be: http://www.yourdomain.com/cblog/
- To
install the Advanced Blog in a subdomain of your domain name (in this
case you can also modify the subdomain name from cblog
to whatever name you like). The Advanced Blog Homepage URL would be: http://cblog.yourdomain.com
Note:
Please replace “yourdomain.com” with your actual
hosted domain name.
- Finally,
click the Install button.
