E-mail account creation, configuration, and settings differ depending on your type of account with Aplus.Net.

Important: The instructions in this document apply to the following types of service plans:

  • Dial-up accounts created before February 19th, 2004

You will first need to create the email box in your Aplus.Net account. Here’s how:

  1. Start by logging into your account control panel at http://www.aplus.net/login.html using your Registration Number and Customer Password.
  2. Click on the View / Edit Plan Details link.
  3. Under the E-mail account heading, click the Add button.
  4. Enter your desired e-mail address and password.
  5. Click Save to create this e-mail account

To access your emails, you can either use Aplus.Net’s Web-based e-mail client or a local e-mail client, such as Microsoft Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla, Netscape, or Eudora.

Web-based email client:

  1. Go to http://mail1.abac.com.
  2. Enter your entire e-mail address in the Login Name field. Type your password in the respective field, and click Enter.

Local e-mail client – generic settings:

  1. Account type: POP3.
  2. Account name (Username): your entire email address, including @yourdomain.com.
  3. Password: the password that you set when you created your e-mail box in your Aplus.Net web control panel.
  4. Incoming mail server: mail1.abac.com.
  5. Outgoing mail server: smtp2.abac.com.
  6. Outgoing (SMTP) mail port: 587
  7. Authentication: Use the username and password as specified in 2 and 3.
