Push
to Talk is an HTML link embedded in your website. The HTML code is
associated with the chosen destination telephone number that rings to
your Call Center Agents. When a caller clicks on the button or phone
number, a pop-up box is displayed instructing the caller to connect to
your Call
Center through one of two
ways: Talk by Phone or Talk by PC.
Important:
You can host the Push-to-Talk button on a website hosted with Aplus.Net
only.
Here’s
how:
- Start
by logging into the Aplus.Net Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net
using your Registration Number and Customer Password.
- Next,
go to Web Hosting
from the top navigation bar and select Add-Ons.
- Click
on eStara Push-to-Talk and then click on
the specific button that you want to manage.
- Click
the Generate HTML Code button.
This will generate all the necessary HTML code that you will need to
install the Push-to-Talk button on your site.
- Step
1: Copy the HTML Head Code, and paste it in the
code of your page, between the <head>
and </head> tags.
- Step
2: Copy the HTML Link Code, and paste in the code
of your page, anywhere between the <body>
and </body> tags. (NOTE: the position
of the Push-to-Talk button on your site will depend on where you paste
the code).
- There
are 2 optional steps that you can take to customize your Push-to-Talk
button:
- Step
3: If you want a specific text to be displayed when the user hold the
mouse over your Push-to-Talk image, type the text in the Set an Alternate Text for the
Image text box, and then click Set.
- Step
4: If you want a specific image to be displayed instead of the default
one that Aplus.Net provides you with, enter the image path in the last
text box, and then click Set.
(NOTE: make sure you also upload that image in your Webspace).
Your
Push-to-Talk button is now installed. |
