How do I lock my domain name?

Answer by: George Kaloyanov, Aplus.Net Knowledge Base Support.

With the Aplus.Net Control Panel you have the option to Lock / Unlock the status of your registered domain names. When your domain is locked, it will be protected from an unauthorized transfer to another registrar.

  1. Start by logging to the Aplus.Net Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net. Use your Registration Number and Customer Password.
  2. Select Domains from the top navigation bar, then click on Domain Registrations .
  3. On the Domain Registrations page, click the name of the domain you’d like to manage.
  1. On the following page, click the Lock / Unlock Domain icon.
  2. Use the available drop-down menu to choose between Locked and Unlocked Status.
  1. Click Modify to finish.

Note: Please have in mind that all domain name updates my take up to 48 hours to take effect.
