How long does the Aplus.Net registration process take?

Aplus.Net’s registration process should take just a few minutes. Your domain name will be reserved worldwide within 20 minutes of the subscription.

Note that Aplus.Net will submit the registration request to the appropriate registry after the payment is received.  

Domain names are usually propagated and ready for use in 24-72 hours after the registration request is submitted to the registry. All DNS changes (Example: Changing name servers, changing A and MX records) that you apply to a specific domain name need at least 24 hours to propagate and take effect.

You can perform a global WHOIS search yourself to check if your domain name is already propagated and ready for use or to check if your name servers are changed. Here are some options how to do it:

1. Under UNIX based operation system you can use the “whois” command (Example: whois mydomain.com).
2. Under Windows you might have to install whois software (Example: http://www.gena01.com/win32whois/).
3. You can perform a global WHOIS search using specific websites like: http://www.internic.net/whois.html.
