How do I install Front Page Extensions in my webspace?

Answer by: Kristen Jourdonais, Aplus.Net Knowledge Base Support.

Here are the steps to install Microsoft FrontPage extensions using Aplus.Net's Control Panel:

  1. Start by logging into the Aplus.Net Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net using your Registration Number and Customer Password.
  2. Select Web Hosting from the top navigation bar.
  3. Next, select Hosted Domains and click on Manage Hosted Domains.
  4. Now, select the hosted domain that you’d like to manage.
  5. Click on the MS FrontPage Manager icon.
Note: If you have custom .htaccess files in your FTP space, the FrontPage Manager will ask you to rename them. The reason is that Frontpage Extensions also use an .htaccess file which is not compatible with any other such files. Click the Rename Files button to proceed.
  1. Finally, click Install.
