With
Aplus.Net’s hosting plans, the
‘catchall@domainname.com’ address is preset to
receive all of the “misaddressed” email messages
sent to your domain. This address will allow you to receive email
messages, even if an email box has been closed or if the
recipient’s username has been mistyped or misspelled.
There
are two ways to access the email sent to your catchall account: by
using an email forwarder or by using an email box.
Creating
a Catchall Forwarder:
In
most cases, you’ll want the mail sent to the catchall account
forwarded on to one of your existing mailboxes. To do this,
you’ll need to set up an email forwarder named
“catchall” under your hosting plan.
- Start
by logging into the Aplus.Net Web Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net
using your Registration Number and Customer Password.
- Select
the Emails link from the top navigation bar.
- Next,
select Email Forwarders and click on Create
Email Forwarder.
- In
the eMail Address text field, enter catchall. Select the
domain that you’d like to associate with the catchall from
the drop-down menu.
- Enter
the receiver email address the Forward-to Address text
field.
- Finally,
click Create.
Note:
If you have already created a catchall
email box, you will have to covert it to an Email
Forwarder.
