How do I change the FTP password for my main FTP account using the Aplus.Net Control Panel?

Answer by:  Andy Hickl, Aplus.Net Knowledge Base Support

You can use the Aplus.Net Control Panel to change the password for your primary FTP account.

Here’s how:

  1. Start by logging into the Aplus.Net Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net using your Registration Number and Customer Password.
  2. Select Web Hosting from the top navigation bar.
  3. Next, select FTP Accounts and click on Manage FTP Accounts.
  4. Click on the username of the Main FTP account that you’d like to manage.
  5. Click the Change FTP Password icon.
  6. Enter the new FTP password into the Password text field. Good passwords contain a combination of letters (both lowercase and uppercase), punctuation, and numbers and should be reasonably difficult to guess.
  7. Click Change to continue. Click Cancel to escape.

If you’d like to retrieve (rather than replace) the FTP password associated your primary FTP account, please contact Customer Support at (888) 301-2516 and one of our representatives will be more than happy to supply you with the necessary information for your account.
