how do i administer my osCommerce store?

Answer by: George Kaloyanov, Aplus.Net Knowledge Base Support

Aplus.Net’s Web Control Panel provides an interface for you to configure the basic settings of your osCommerce store. For all the available configuration settings you should use the osCommerce administrative panel itself.

The osCommerce administrative panel is located at: http://yourdomain.com/osc/admin/index.php. The osCommerce administrator username and password are set to be the same as your main FTP username and its associated password.

Note: Replace yourdomain.com with your actually hosted domain name with Aplus.Net.

Here is how to use the Control Panel interface to configure the basic settings of your store:

  1. Start by logging into the Aplus.Net Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net using your Registration Number and Customer Password.
  2. Select Web Hosting from the top navigation bar.
  3. Next, select Hosted Domains and click on Manage Hosted Domains.
  4. Now, select the hosted domain that you’d like to manage.
  5. Click on the OS Commerce icon.
  6. Select the Configuration tab.
  7. You can configure the following settings.
    1. Store Name
    2. Store Owner
    3. Store Owner Email
    4. Store Location: email, country, state, address
  8. Click the appropriate Update button to save your configuration changes.
