Each Product can have a “full-sized” and
a small “thumbnail” image. The full-sized image is displayed on the
respective Product screen. The thumbnail image is displayed in the
respective category listing.
Important: The following screenshots and
instructions apply to Unix-based, eCommerce Unix plans using Miva 5.
How to add a add/change the full-sized and
thumbnail image for your Miva Store products:
- Login
into your Miva Admin Panel at http://yourdomain.com/mm5/admin.mvc
using the Main FTP Username and FTP Password of your eCommerce Unix shared
hosting plan.
Note: If you are
in the Simple Administration mode, switch to Advanced Administration mode.
- Expand
the Stores menu.
- Then,
expand your Miva Store.
- Click Products from
the main menu.
- Click
the edit button associated with the Product you’d like to
manage.
- Open
the Images tab for the selected product.
- Click Upload for
either the Thumbnail Image or Full-sized Image of
your product.
- Click Browse to
select an image located on your local machine. Check the Overwrite box,
if you are replacing a picture file with the exact same name. Click
the respective Upload button when ready. The selected picture
file will be uploaded to your FTP space on the shared hosting server.
- Finally
click Update to save all changes.
Picture File Limits:
By default, Miva 5 is configured to allow
uploads for the following types of picture files:
You can reconfigure your Miva Store to accept
uploads of other picture formats if needed:
- Go
to Domain Settings from the main Miva Administrative menu.
- Open
the Upload Settings tab.
- Modify
the Image Extension Types text field and click Update to
save the changes.
