How do I access the DSN Manager tool for my Windows shared hosting plan using the Aplus.Net Control Panel?

Answer by: Frédérique Taillefer, Aplus.Net Knowledge Base Support.

The DSN Manager allows you to create, modify, or remove Data Source Names, which are used to request a connection to an ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) data source (database, spreadsheet, text file, etc.). A DSN contains information about the data source (such as database name, type, ODBC driver).

Here’s how to access the DSN Manager tool using the Aplus.Net Control Panel:

  1. Start by logging into the Aplus.Net Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net using your Registration Number and Customer Password.
  2. Select Web Hosting from the top navigation bar.
  3. Next, select Hosted Domains and click on Manage Hosted Domains.
  4. Now, select your domain name (NOTE: if your actual domain name does not yet resolve to Aplus.Net’s servers, you must use your utility domain (username.win.aplus.net) to manage your DSN).
  5. Next, click on Manage DSN Records.
