Here’s
how:
If you’re a Windows XP Home Edition user, please start with Step 1. If
you are a Windows XP Professional Edition user, please skip to Step
3.
1. From the Start Menu, choose Network Connections. This will open the Network Connections window.
2. Double-click the New Connection Wizard icon. Skip
to Step 5.
Windows XP Professional Edition users should start here with Step 3.
3. From the Start Menu, choose Connect To, and then
select Show All Connections.
4. Click on Create a New Connection. This
will open the New Connection Wizard.
The following instructions are appropriate for either version of Windows
XP.
5. You will now see the Welcome to the New Connection Wizard screen. Click next to continue.
6. Select the Connect to the Internet radio button and click next to
continue.
7. Next, click the Set up my connection manually radio button
and click next to continue.
8. Click the Connect using a dial-up modem radio button. Click next to continue.
9. Enter Aplus.Net into the ISP Name field. Click next to continue.
10. Enter your access number into the Phone Number field. Enter only the digits that you would need to enter if you were
dialing the number using your phone’s handset. Click next to
continue.
11. Enter your Username (i.e. user@abac.com)
and Password into the appropriate fields. Click next to continue.
12. On the Completing the New Connection Wizard screen, check
the Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop… checkbox. Click Finish.
13. Return to your Desktop. Double-click the new Connect Aplus.Net icon. This
will open a new dialogue window.
14. In the Connect Aplus.Net window, click Dial to
connect to the Internet.
