Here
is how you can view and change your initial Dedicated Server
password on file using the Aplus.Net Control Panel.
I.
VIEW DS PASSWORD
Note:
Please note that in case you have changed your Plesk Control
Panel Password or the Root/Administrator Password, this change will not
be reflected in the Aplus.Net Control Panel.
In
order to view your DS Password, click the Export button which
is located at the top right corner. This will prompt you to save or
open a CSV file containing all information about your dedicated server
plans including the password.
II.
CHANGE DS PASSWORD
Important:
Please have in mind that changing your password through the
Aplus.Net Control Panel does NOT change the password you use
for Plesk and SSH root login (Unix-based servers)
or Remote Desktop administrator login (Windows-based servers).
The
Plesk or Root/Administrator password can NOT be changed through the
Aplus.Net Control Panel.
In
case you have already changed your Plesk or Root/Administrator
password, we recommend that you make the same change in the Aplus.Net
Control Panel. Keeping us up-to-date with your current password will
ensure that our Dedicated Server Support Technicians are able to login
to your server when required. This will increase the speed and level of
support we can offer as we will not be required to retrieve
your current password by phone or email.
- Start by logging to the Aplus.Net Control Panel at https://cp.aplus.net
using your Registration number and Account password.
- Click the Dedicated
Servers tab from the top navigation bar.
- Click on the dedicated server you'd like to
manage.
- Next, click the Change
Password icon.
- Enter your new password and click the Change button.
