How can i upgrade my domain so that i can use domain forwarding?

If you want to forward your currently registered domain name to a specific URL (Example: mydomain.com to http://somedomain.com/index.html or http://somedomain.com/), you have to open a new URL Forwarding service.

Please note that in order to have a properly working URL Forwarder, the domain you wish to forward must have its name servers set to ns1.abac.com and ns2.abac.com. In the example above this means that mydomain.com should point to our name servers ns1.abac.com and ns2.abac.com.

If you have an Aplus.Net registration number associated with your domain registration (starting with AP), you can use the Aplus.Net Control Panel to set up URL Forwarding for your domain. Here is how:

Start by logging into the Aplus.Net Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net using your Registration Number and Customer Password.
Go to Buy Services on the top navigation bar.
From the Buy Services menus select Domain Names,then URL Forwarding. The URL Forwarding subscription form will be loaded.
Select the period (in years) you'd like to buy the URL Forwarding plan for.
Aplus.Net only permits URL Forwarders to be created for domains that are currently registered with Aplus.Net / Names4Ever.com. If your domain is already registered with Aplus.Net, select the Use available domain option. Use the Domain name drop-down menu to select the domain, and move directly to step 6. If you do not see your registered domain here, please contact our Customer Care Department by phone at 1-888-301-2516 (Toll Free), 1-858-410-6900 (For International callers) or by using the live chat tool available at http://www.aplus.net/support.html

If you want to register a new domain name for your URL Forwarder, please follow the steps "a" through "h" before proceeding to step 6.
Select the Register new domain name option. The Register New Domain section of the subscription form will be activated.
Enter the new domain name in the appropriate field and select its extension from the drop-down box (e.g. .com, .net, etc).
Use the Check Availability button to check if the entered domain name is available for registration.
Enter the new domain name into the Domain Name field.
Choose a Password for the new domain.
Use the Privacy drop-down menu to specify if you need a private domain registration service.
Select the Registration Period for the new domain name (This option is separate from the URL Forwarding billing period).

In the Forward To URL field enter the URL that you would like the domain to be forwarded to. This can be a domain name, like http://www.aplus.net/, or a particular html page such as http://www.aplus.net/index.html.
Click Proceed to Finalize Order to complete the URL Forwarder subscription. Click Close to escape.
