Can I use the Aplus.Net Control Panel to modify my search engine look-and-feel?

You can use either the File Manager in the Aplus.Net Control Panel or any HTML editing software to modify the layout (or look-and-feel) of your Website Search Engine. You will need to edit the HTML source code contained in the search_form.html (search page) or in the search.html (results page). These files contain the basic template for the Website Search Engine and the results page; feel free to modify this code (or to copy it to any page on your site), making sure not to replace or remove any of the input or option tags.

We recommend that you save search_form.html as search_form_old.html and search.html as search_old.html before making any modifications to ensure that you will always have a back-up copy of the search and results form templates. 

If you would like to reset the search engine – and to reset search_form.html and search.html to their original specifications – simply Uninstall and re-install the Website Search Engine using the appropriate buttons on the Aplus.Net Control Panel.

Here’s how to access the Website Search Engine:

1. Start by logging into the Aplus.Net Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net using your Registration Number and Customer Password.
2. Select Web Hosting from the top navigation bar.
3. Next, select Hosted Domains and click on Manage Hosted Domains.
4. Now, select the hosted domain that you’d like to manage.
5. Click on the Design tab.
6. Finally, click the Website Search Engine icon.
