E-mail Forwarders automatically transfer
e-mail messages from one designated address to any other existing e-mail
box. For example, you could use an E-mail Forwarder to ensure that
messages sent to
would be automatically delivered
to
.
If you convert an E-mail box to an
e-mail forwarder, you will lose all of the messages stored on the server
for that account. E-mail Forwarders are not associated with any disk
space on your server - they function only as rules that move messages
from one destination to another.
Note: The Aplus.Net Web Control Panel
will not allow you to create two e-mail objects (boxes, forwarders,
lists, or groups) that have the same username. If you try to create
an e-mail forwarder that has the same name as an e-mail account, the
Control Panel will return an error message. To create an e-mail forwarder
that has the same name as an e-mail account, you must either 1) use
the Convert to E-mail Forwarder tool or 2) manually delete the e-mail
box and then create a new e-mail forwarder with the same name.
Here’s how to create an E-mail
Forwarder from an existing email box:
-
Start by logging into the Aplus.Net
Web Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net using
your Registration Number and Customer Password.
-
Select Emails from the
top navigation bar.
-
Next, select Email Boxes and
click on Manage Email Boxes.
-
Click on the e-mail account that
you’d like to convert.
-
Select the Convert to Email
Forwarder icon.
-
Enter the e-mail address that
you’d like to forward to into the Forward-to Address text
field.
-
Click Create to convert
to a forwarder. Click Cancel to escape.
