How can i use the website building software in my hosting plan?

Answer by: Stuart Pierce, Knowledge Base Support

The Trellix Website Builder is available for the following Unix-based hosting plans:

  • Business Class Unix
  • Pro Unix
  • eCommerce Unix

Here is how you can access the Trellix Website Builder:

  1. Start by logging into the Aplus.Net Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net using your Registration Number and Customer Password.
  2. Select Web Hosting from the top navigation bar.
  3. Next, select Hosted Domains and click on Manage Hosted Domains.
  4. Now, select the hosted domain that you’d like to manage.
  5. Click the Design tab.
  6. Click the Trellix Website Builder icon and a new window will open. By default, you will land at the All My Sites page.

All My Sites is the starting point for learning about Trellix SiteBuilder and for creating a site. All My Sites is the first screen you see after starting SiteBuilder, and you can go to this screen by clicking the All My Sites icon in the toolbar.

Click on the Guide for New Users under Help & Tips on the All My Sites page for an overview of SiteBuilder and the process of building a web site.

If you want to create a multiple page web site:

  1. In All My Sites, click on the drop-down menu next to Create a new site, and then select Choose from the gallery. Click the Go! button to continue.
  2. Click on the Start with a multi-page template link. You'll then choose a type, and a template. This provides you with a web site made up of web-ready page(s) complete with content and pictures. You can edit the content, delete it, or add your own content as well as keep or replace the pictures. There are templates for a wide variety of web sites, such as personal, fan, professional, photo albums, and special events.
  3. Once you choose your design templates, you will be redirected to a Choose a web site name or pages menu. Here you can:
    1. Type a name for your site (it will appear in the title bar of the browser).
    2. Add footer (optional).
    3. Choose pages for your site (check the boxes next to the pages you want to have on your web site).
  4. Then, click Continue to choose the design for your web site. You can either Choose the suggested design or Choose from all designs. After selecting a design, you may start editing your web site.

Here are some guidelines to help you add and edit content:

  • Click Edit text button to change, delete, or format existing text.
  • Click Edit picture button to delete the picture or replace it with one of your own.
  • Note the icons on the toolbar. You use the toolbar to Add Text, Picture, Link, Site Add-On, Table, or Page to your site. The toolbar is your main menu for using Trellix SiteBuilder. It also provides quick help as you’re performing tasks such as adding or editing text and pictures.
  • Use the Help icon which provides information for the task at hand.
  • Use the Site Organizer icon to manage your web site by copying, deleting, renaming, and moving pages, or changing layouts and designs.
  • Use the All my Sites icon to edit a site name, or view a published site.
