BLOG,
or web-LOG, is basically a journal that is
available on the Web. With Aplus.Net Advanced Blog you can easily
publish your daily thoughts and favorite quotes and share them with
your Web site’s visitors. Through the multi-user feature that
the Advanced Blog offers visitors can also publish on the Web having
different access levels. These visitors, called new users, are assigned
by you as you are the administrator of the Advanced Blog.
Here’s
how you can create new users who can post entries and/or comments to
your Advanced Blog:
- Start
by logging into the Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net
using your Registration Number and Customer Password.
- Select
Web Hosting from the top navigation bar.
- Next,
select Hosted Domains and click on Manage
Hosted Domains.
- Now,
select the hosted domain that you’d like to manage.
- Click
the Design tab.
- Click
the Advanced Blog icon.
- Click
the Settings tab.
- Then,
on bottom of page click the Manage Users button.
You’ll be redirected to the “Serendipity
Administration Suite”.
- Press
on Create new user. Note:
Here you can also edit user’s properties or delete users.
- Now,
you can assign new usernames, passwords, emails, etc. And most
importantly you can assign different permission levels.
Important:
The account created during the Advanced Blog installation is the Admin
user with permission level 255. With this userlevel you can change
everything. On the next step is the Chief Editor
with userlevel 1. The Chief Editor can create other users, maintain all
entries in the blog and also perform some administrative tasks (title
of blog, plugins, and private categories). Last is the Standard
Editor with permissionlevel 0. The Standard Editor can
manage his own entries and apply some personal administrative changes.
- After
specifying all the details, click Create new user to
complete the process.
