The
Payment Gateway will pick up your transactions online over a secure
Internet connection and will process the transactions. Aplus.Net is
proud to operate its own payment gateway, called RPG (Rodopi Payment
Gateway). It is certified by Miva as well as by 95% of the US Banks.
If
you have already set up your Merchant Account, all you need to do is
provide Aplus.Net with your Merchant account information, and we will
set up the Rodopi Payment Gateway for you. The set up of the RPG is
included in the eCommerce Unix hosting plan. To provide us
with your Merchant Account information, please fill out the RPG Setup Information Sheet.
Important:
The following screenshots and instructions apply to Unix-based, eCommerce Unix
plans using Miva 5.
Here
is how to configure your Miva Merchant Store to use the RPG:
- Login into
your Miva Admin Panel at http://yourdomain.com/mm5/admin.mvc using the
Main FTP Username and FTP Password of your eCommerce Unix shared hosting plan.
Note:
If you are in the Simple Administration mode,
switch to Advanced Administration mode.
- Expand the Stores
menu.
- Expand your Miva
Store.
- Click on Payment
Configuration.
- Check the box
next to R-P-G and click on Update.
- Now, click on
the R-P-G
(Rodopi Payment Gateway) tab:
- Here, you
have to specify the following information:
- Merchant
Name - enter
your Merchant Name. It is assigned to you by Aplus.Net after you have
sent your Merchant Account information to us with the RPG Setup Information Sheet.
- Password
- enter the password corresponding to your Merchant Name.
- URL -
this text field is set by default, please do not change it.
- Currency
Symbol - choose a currency for your Miva Store using the
drop-down menu.
- Charge
Method - use
the
respective radio buttons to select a credit card authorization method:
- Online
- authorizes the credit card when the order is placed and bills that
credit card at the same time, if it has been approved.
- Offline
- only
performs the credit card authorization and leaves the actual billing to
be done when the order is processed.
- Store
Entire CC Number - check this box to store the entire credit
card number when an order is placed. Otherwise, only the last 4 digits
of the credit card will be seen.
- Test
Mode - leave this box unchecked. MIVA's Test Mode
cannot be used with RPG, and tests will always return an error.
However, you can use the test credit cards listed below to test your
store "live".
- Available
Payment Methods - select
the credit cards to be available to your customers as payment methods.
This might be limited by your Merchant Account. If you are unsure,
please contact your merchant account representative at your bank or
credit union.
- Finally,
click Update.
You
can now visit your newly created Miva Store and try to purchase a
product using any of the test credit cards listed below. Please ensure
that the product you are purchasing during the test is below
$100.00. Your test result will be positive,
if the error returned is "Unable
to authorize payment: HARDDECLINED:Decline".
This error message means that the request has been processed by the
gateway and transmitted to the financial institution, but declined as
an invalid card number.
