Base Support.
I. What is WAP:
WAP stands for Wireless Application Protocol. WAP is an
open, global specification that empowers mobile users with wireless
devices to easily access and interact with information and services
instantly via handheld wireless devices such as mobile phones, pagers,
two-way radios, smartphones and communicators.
II. Aplus.Net Wireless Email Service:
Aplus.Net offers a Wireless Email Service
with each shared hosting plan based on XHTML (also known as WAP 2.0).
It can be used with any wireless device which has a browser. Nowadays, most mobile phones
include browser software to allow users access to Internet sites.
Note: A major advantage is that an email
application is not required to use the Aplus.Net Wireless Email Service
and the service web page is scaled down to fit the screen of your
mobile device.
With Aplus.Net’s Wireless Email Service
you can:
- Check
your email messages.
- Compose
and send new email messages.
- Browse
the folders you have on the email server.
- Manage
a web-based Address Book.
III. How do I use the Aplus.Net Wireless
Email service:
- Open
“webmail.yourdomain.com/m” with the Web Browser of your portable
device. Please replace yourdomain.com with your actual hosted domain
name.
- Enter
your email username and email password. Then click
the Login button.
Example: If your
email account is johndoe@example.com, enter johndoe in
the username field and not the entire email account.
- Now,
you have 4 options:
- To
check your email messages, please use the Inbox link.
- To
send email messages, please use the Compose Mail link.
- To
browse through your email folders on the hosting server, please
use the Browse Folders link.
- To
manage your Web-based Address Book, please use the Address
Book link. Note: This Address Book is shared between your
Webmail and WAP Email service.
