Can all html files be stored at root level instead of the "html" directory?

The html files should go into the "html" folder and/or directories below it. Your root (home) directory is not accessible through http, which protects any sensitive data you have stored at the root level from being accessed via http.

Another reason this schema is beneficial is the functionality of hosting several domains within a single hosting plan.
