Yes, you can use Netscape Navigator
(2.0 and above) as an FTP program, much like you can with Internet
Explorer. Here is how:
1. Type the FTP URL for your destination
into the Location box as follows, where "yourdomain" is the
domain name of the site: ftp://username@yourdomain.com/.
2. You will now be prompted to input
a password. After you have received access to the files in an FTP site,
you may begin the upload. Once the file upload process has begun, you
will see a status window showing that the upload is in progress. You
will be notified when a successful file upload has been completed.
There are two methods you can use to upload files: using a dialog box
or using drag-and-drop.
a. Using a dialog box
Go to the File menu in the Web browser
and select File Upload. This will open up a dialog box and allow you
to find the file you wish to upload. Double-click on your selection,
and the uploading process will begin.
b. Using drag and drop
Once you have the FTP site open in
your Web browser, simply drag the desired file onto the page and drop
it at the file level where you want it to be stored.
