Question categories:  MySQL

Can I change the variable max_connections in the MySQL configuration?

The variable max_connections can not be changed.

The value of this variable has been adjusted by our administrators to allow fair access to the database resources for all of our customers. If this variable is set to too high of a value, it results in one or two customers taking over the database resources, resulting in the rest of the shared hosting customers receiving bad service.
