How Can I edit, add, or drop records in my MySQL database tables using the Aplus.Net Control Panel?

Answer by: Stuart Pierce, Knowledge Base Support

You can use the MySQL Database Manager found on the Aplus.Net Control Panel to manually edit / add / drop records in your database.

Here’s how:

  1. Start by logging into the Aplus.Net Control Panel at http://cp.aplus.net using your Registration Number and Customer Password.
  2. Select Web Hosting from the top navigation bar.
  3. Next, select Hosted Domains and click on Manage Hosted Domains.
  4. Now, select the domain name of the website that you’d like to edit.
  5. Click the MySQL Database Manager icon.
  6. Click the manage database link associated with the exact MySQL Database you’d like to manipulate.

You will be redirected to the administering interface of the “phpmyadmin” database manager. On the left-hand side you will see the name of the database, and the tables you currently have.

  1. Click the icon which is located in front of the table name you want to modify.
  2. To edit a record in a table, click the icon.
  3. To add a record in a table, click on the Insert new row link below the table.
  4. To drop a record from a table, click the icon.
